പൗരത്വ ഭേദഗതി ബിൽ നടപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനെ എതിർത്ത് പഞ്ചാബ് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി. പഞ്ചാബിൽ പൗരത്വ ഭേദഗതി ബിൽ നടപ്പാക്കില്ലെന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി അമരേന്ദ്രർ സിംങ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ബിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ ജനാതിപത്യ വ്യവസ്തക്ക് എതിരാണെന്നും ബില്ലിനെ ശക്തമായി എതിർക്കുമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടി ചേർത്തു. ഹിന്ദുസ്ഥാൻ ടൈമിസിന്റെ ലീഡർസ് മീറ്റിൽ സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.
