Job Title: Triage Registered Nurse
Start Date: November/December 2024
Pay Rate: $36 - $40.00/hour
Equipment Provided: Full laptop and computer package
Schedule:
8 AM - 7 PM PST
4x10 hour shifts (3-week rotation; one weekend required, both Saturday and Sunday)
Training: 10 AM - 7 PM EST (2 weeks)
Location: 100% Remote
Qualifications:
Compact RN License
Single State CA License required (Application pending at the time of the final interview is acceptable)
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Essential Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to incoming calls, assisting patients with standardized care and benefits navigation while building a friendly and professional rapport.
Conduct thorough clinical assessments of symptoms and confidently determine the appropriate level of care to meet the patient's medical needs, referring them using established guidelines.
Adhere to standard procedures and protocols related to triage services.
Educate and communicate recommendations to patients using clear and patient-friendly language.
Successfully connect members with additional internal and external benefits and community resources when needed.
Provide care based on core values and mission principles.
Offer triage support for urgent member prescription needs.
Serve as the central point of contact for all member emergency escalations.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Registered Nurse, currently residing and licensed in a compact state, with eligibility to obtain RN licensure in all 50 states
2+ years of experience in a triage setting (preferably with phone triage), or 2+ years in an emergency room, or 4+ years in an ambulatory primary care role that included triage
Ability to work in the PST time zone
Availability for rotating holidays and weekends (every 3rd weekend for full-time and every other weekend for part-time)
Expertise in advanced clinical decision-making
Comfortable managing a variety of medical conditions for both pediatric and adult populations
Experience in complex decision-making, including situations of uncertainty
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to gather clinical histories, answer patient questions, and succinctly summarize findings
Proficiency in using multiple computer/medical record systems, as well as Google Suite
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting role-specific metrics without compromising quality
