Job Overview:
As a Tax Reviewer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of tax returns and related documents. Working closely with the  tax preparers and strategists, you will review and finalize tax filings, providing expert insight and recommendations to enhance client outcomes. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while contributing to the success of clients and our firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and finalize federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accuracy in all tax filings.
• Collaborate with tax preparers to identify and address any discrepancies or errors.
• Provide feedback and guidance on tax preparation processes and strategies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize client outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure all filings reflect current compliance standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients as needed to clarify information or gather additional data.
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with changes in tax law and best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation and review.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Experience with tax software (experience with specific software like QuickBooks, Lacerte, or UltraTax is a plus).
• CPA, EA, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing tax documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in remote collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.
