In this position, you will serve as the Social Emotional Learning in the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Center. In this position, you will provide This position exists to provide educational leadership, program development, training, consultation, and resources to support school leaders, teachers, and student support staff which will result in schoolwide implementation of evidence-based social and emotional leading to better student academic outcomes and improve conditions for learning. A priority is to build the capacity of schools in the design, selection and/or development of appropriate evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL) policies, frameworks, instructional content, teaching methods, professional development, and assessment of schoolwide implementation as a key strategy for addressing student behavior and conditions for learning. Research, plan, develop, facilitate, and evaluate large-scale professional learning, professional networking opportunities, and implementation activities that are designed to develop, improve, and support district and charters and school staff to implement evidence based schoolwide SEL through increased access to quality networking and professional development opportunities. Provide technical assistance and coaching that supports district and school leaders to build their knowledge and skills in implementing effective policies, frameworks and practices for supporting students with SEL. Technical assistance and coaching includes but is not limited to developing and implementing comprehensive policies for evidence based SEL, educator support, the development and implementing of equity centered SEL inclusive curriculum. Assist in the collection, development and distribution of critical guidance and resources to support educators in SEL. Resources must prioritize areas including developing and implementing comprehensive policies for evidence based SEL, educator support, the development and implementing of equity centered SEL inclusive curriculum. Minimum Qualifications Four (4) years of experience supporting, implementing or leading the development of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) evidence-based practices in PreK-12 OR A master's degree may substitute for 18 months of experience; a bachelor's degree may substitute for one (1) year of experience with four (4) years of professional experience supporting, implementing or leading the development of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) evidence-based practices in PreK-12 Qualified applicants must also have: Experience developing and facilitating professional development for educators; Experience using data to drive critical conversations and continuous improvement; Experience with evidence-based and equity-focused practices for developing social and emotional competencies Preferred Qualifications Experience coaching and/or mentoring leaders and educators to increase effectiveness Experience developing and facilitating professional development for leaders and educators Improving family engagement services Experience developing, implementing, supporting or leading Project Management experience Additional Requirements A job offer will be contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
