First Christian Church is a Biblically grounded non-denominational church in alignment with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000, located in Ramseur NC. A vibrant, diverse, and growing community of faith, committed to serving God and loving our neighbors. Our church has a rich history, serving our community for over 130 years.

We are seeking a full time dedicated and passionate Senior Pastor to lead our congregation in spiritual growth and community engagement. The ideal candidate must possess a strong relationship with God and be deeply rooted in his Word. Must possess a pattern of spiritual growth that is evidenced by life of prayer, personal obedience to the word of God and the proven ability to discern the Lord’s will and guidance and decision-making and a true love for Jesus. This visionary leader must have a deep commitment to our ministry.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to the congregation
• Preach weekly worship services that are consistent with the Church’s mission and objectives and aligned with our Articles of Faith.
• Conduct religious services, including weddings, funerals, and baptisms
• Visit members, shut-ins, and visitors as needed
• Offer pastoral care, counseling, and support to church members
• Mentor and educate church staff and volunteers
• Engage in conflict management and crisis intervention when needed
• Continue to develop and grow our relationship within the community
• Publish and maintain normal office hours

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an ordained pastoral minister
• Must be a man with a solid marriage (if married) and a well-ordered family that can complement and support your ministry
• Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills
• Ability to lead and inspire others
• High level of integrity in handling confidential matters
• Must be willing to devote full time attention to our church
