Job Description: Senior Financial Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and effective Senior Financial Analyst to join our global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This position reports directly to the VP of FP&A and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, growth-oriented, private equity-backed software company. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing various financial reporting, business analysis, modeling, and forecasting activities to enhance financial performance and support the company's growth.
Responsibilities
- **Financial and Business Analysis**: Assist the VP of FP&A with company-level financial and business analysis related to forecasting, month-end, quarterly reporting, and annual planning. Deliver accurate and informative information to stakeholders, including private equity investors, board members, business leaders, and the broader finance team.
- **Financial Planning**: Support all financial planning activities, including monthly recurring revenue projections, quarterly forecasts, and the annual operating plan. Assist in establishing and meeting key reporting and planning deadlines.
- **Performance Management**: Partner with business leaders to manage financial performance and track functional performance toward financial objectives. Regularly review financial results and expenditure trends with business leaders.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Lead and participate in ad-hoc cross-functional teams and projects for business units. Support and partner with teams in planning, measuring, reporting, and improving operational performance.
- **Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in processes and systems. Automate manual processes to streamline workflow and reduce errors.
- **Acquisition Support**: Assist in acquisition due diligence, modeling, budgeting, and integration. Establish synergy tracking to ensure deal model objectives are fully achieved.
- **Team Leadership**: Act as a leader and senior member of the FP&A team with a team-first mentality. Mentor less experienced team members to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Qualifications
- **Experience**: 3-5 years of progressive FP&A experience.
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or MBA completion.
- **Annual Planning**: Experience going through an annual planning or budget cycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- **Industry Experience**: Experience in the global software/SaaS industry is preferred.
- **M&A Experience**: Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including post-acquisition integration, is a plus.
