POSITION: Residential Construction Superintendent

REPORTS TO : Construction Manager 

Duet Build is a 40-year legacy general contractor devoted to craft and an eagle eye for evolution. We build and remodel high-quality, custom homes with the highest level of integrity and industry-busting levels of communication throughout the Denver Metro area.

JOB OVERVIEW:


The superintendent will be responsible for overseeing several projects at once and will serve as the leader at each worksite in dealings with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and government inspectors. This person will be expected to ensure compliance with all federal and state procedures, regulations, and codes and present progress updates to appropriate management channels regularly. With each project, this individual is counted on to drive the innovation and quality we’re known for.


The project superintendent is responsible for on-site control and supervision of assigned projects from groundbreaking through completion, maintaining a balance between schedule and cost considerations. He/she will complete projects while meeting the goals of being on schedule, on budget, going beyond the customer’s expectations, clearly communicating, and keeping the company’s safety objectives front of mind. Specific job duties are as follows: 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Onsite control of budget, labor, materials and vendors
  • Job details and quality control
  • Maintain and control schedule
  • Assist in gathering pricing for CO’s 
  • Determine material requirements
  • Maintain detailed documentation of site activities
  • Maintain site cleanliness & safety
  • Inventory and secure deliveries
  • Work with APM to create OAC agendas
  • Be alert for value engineering
  • Maintain as-builts
  • Maintain relationships with architects, engineers, government
  • Create daily logs with pictures
  • Ensure client satisfaction
  • Have an intimate knowledge of the budget
  • Work with PM to code subcontractor bills, ensuring they match with work completed and align with budget
  • Produce and track punch lists
  • Assist with hands-on projects at sites as needed; specific projects based on your skill set, but you must be willing to be a ‘working super.’

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Deep understanding of reading blueprints 
  • 5-8 years of experience as a field supervisor/superintendent for a general contracting company with a luxury homebuilding specialty is required to be considered for this position. 
  • Broad knowledge and skills in the areas of framing, drywall, carpentry, painting, and plumbing. 
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work 8-hour standing shifts
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required; truck or SUV preferred.
  • Ability to use time tracking and project management software on a smartphone.
  • Outstanding customer service. Ensure the highest quality customer service at all times. 
  • Can-do attitude. Be flexible to change and ready to help out around the job sites. 
  • Available Monday – Friday, occasional Saturdays (start times differ depending on project days and office meetings.

 

BENEFITS AND PAY:

  • Salary range $80,000-95,000, based on experience.
  • 2 weeks of paid vacation, 8 paid holidays, and Holiday R+R from Christmas Day thru January 1st.
