We are seeking an experienced Powder Coating Technician to join our team! The facility is brand new with all new commercial equipment. The Powder Coating Technician is responsible for prepping, hanging, spraying, and baking raw fabricated steel parts for locker assemblies. The ideal candidate will be accustomed to working in a powder coating booth and utilizing an industrial oven set at 350 degrees for 8 hours a day. Having pride and ownership in your work, adhering to Luxer One powder coating specification (powder thickness) and quality control points are crucial. We are very proud of what we do and are committed to high quality workmanship. We are hoping to hire a team player that is willing to jump into other areas to help when needed - if powder parts get back up due to assembly slowing down, the ideal candidate will be able to flex over to support other areas to maintain shop production goals. Previous experience in body shops is a plus. No sandblasting is required. This is a fast paced environment, we work hard, but we also take care of our employees by scheduling quarterly events and investing in their development. Responsibilities:

• Commitment to Safety
  

• Wipe down fabricated steel parts
  

• Hang components on racks to allow for efficient powder coating
  

• Powder coat various individual locker components in preparation for assembly
  

• Place components in a powder coating oven, operate the oven and remove components from the oven to be staged for cooling
  

• Maintain all quality and safety standards required in the facility at all times
  

• Maintain the cleanliness of the work environment through sweeping excess powder, cleaning powder coating equipment, etc
  

• Meet production goals consistently.
  

• Assembly of the lockers including packaging and palletizing
  

• Seek ways to improve our processes - IE is there a way we can hang parts more efficiently
  

Requirements

• 1-2 years of Powder Coating experience (highly preferred)
  

• High School Diploma or equivalent
  

• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality. 
  

• Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
  

• Able to lift up to 50 or more pounds
  

• Able to stand for long periods of time
  

• Able to work under pressure to output high volume, high quality work
  

• Operate a pallet jack and forklift, and willing to get forklift certified
  

• Positive attitude, friendly, self-starter who can help take initiative, solution driven, adaptable, flexible, passionate and empathetic.
