Position Summary:

Our Award-Winning Client , nationally acclaimed for its exceptional healthcare services and innovation, seeks a Manager of Clinical Informatics to join its dynamic IT department. This on-site role in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, offers the opportunity to lead and manage the Clinical Informatics team, guiding the development of electronic health records and ensuring seamless clinical operations. This position is pivotal in bridging IT and clinical practices, supporting the organization’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development :

    • Lead a team focused on delivering excellent electronic health records, user training, and superior customer service.
    • Partner with the Executive Director to craft both short-term and long-term IT strategic plans.
    • Support a cohesive relationship between clinical teams and IT, enhancing clinical IT systems.
  • Operational & Vendor Management :

    • Oversee the Clinical Informatics team to meet hospital informatics needs.
    • Foster high-level coordination across technology, IT staff, and contracted application support teams.
    • Build partnerships with clinical vendors to position the organization as a model site for clinical applications.
  • Relationship Building & Service Excellence :

    • Develop trust and credibility with physicians, nurses, executives, clinicians, and stakeholders.
    • Promote clinical suite products by fostering operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education :

    • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
    • Current Colorado RN license or multi-state compact license preferred, if an RN candidate.
  • Experience :

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a hospital clinical setting preferred.
    • Proficient in Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Development, Internet, Project Management, and Healthcare Informatics software.
  • Skills :

    • Leadership abilities: coaching, decision-making, planning, and delegation.
    • Project management expertise, including timeline tracking and crisis management.
    • Proficiency in change management, interpersonal communication, and budget/finance understanding.
