POSITION SUMMARY:

We're looking for a reliable and thorough Maintenance Technician to deliver high-quality work. Your technical skills and professionalism will play a vital part in the upkeep and smooth operations of our properties, directly contributing to our guests' satisfaction. 

What will your day be like? 

Although you'll often work independently, you'll be part of a team passionate about maintaining the best vacation rentals in the area. During your shift, you'll conduct routine and preventive maintenance jobs, navigate property walkthroughs, and keep important amenities like hot tubs running in top condition. You'll be free to schedule your day-to-day tasks while staying connected to the management team to ensure every detail meets our standards and each property is ready to welcome the next reservation. 

You’re the right person for the job if you have a strong work ethic, are precise in your work, and can handle tasks independently with little oversight. 

Note: We request that our maintenance technicians bring a basic set of tools for maintenance and repair tasks. We will provide replacements if any of these tools break while on the job. For tasks that necessitate specialized tools that are not considered essential, we will either supply these tools or hire a contractor to complete the work. A company laptop will also be provided to complete maintenance forms and reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure property equipment and facilities are in excellent condition. 
  • Conduct thorough walkthroughs of properties between guest stays to identify any issues or necessary repairs. 
  • Maintain hot tubs, including cleaning, balancing chemicals, and troubleshooting.
  • Respond to service requests and communicate effectively with the management team to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs conducted. 
  • Assist with the setup of new properties, ensuring all systems are operational before guest arrival. 
  • Uphold safety standards and comply with all company policies and regulatory requirements. 
  • This is a part-time to full-time position, averaging 30-40 hours per week with the possibility of more during peak season. Will work 5-6 days a week 9a to 4p, depending on availability preferences. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for scheduling their own work, but will work closely with the property management team to ensure all properties are well-maintained and ready for guests. 
  • Conduct regular inspections of rental properties and identify any issues that need to be addressed 
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, basic repairs, and fixing leaky faucets 
  • Make necessary repairs 
  • Troubleshoot appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems 
  • Respond to guest requests for maintenance or repairs during their stay
  • Coordinate with the property management team to schedule maintenance and repairs
  • Evaluate projects and order necessary supplies if needed 
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • If you have 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. 
  • A basic set of tools for maintenance tasks - replacements and specialized tools will be provided as necessary. 
  • Able to use a laptop for maintaining digital records and completing maintenance forms and reports. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Able to stand, sit, and walk for the majority of the day 
  • Able to apply physical skills, including bending, stretching, reaching, grabbing, holding, and carrying. 
  • Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Wage: $22 per hour 

Bonus Details: Performance bonuses are made available after 90 days.

Schedule: You will manage your work schedule independently, adhering to a 30-40 hours per week framework, from 9 AM to 4 PM, 5-6 days weekly. However, during peak periods, we may require additional flexibility in your schedule to ensure all properties are well-maintained and ready to welcome guests. Availability to be on call to assist guests some evenings at a higher rate some nights.
