Responsibilities:
As a Glass Installer at Fireside Hearth & Leisure, you will play a critical role in the installation and maintenance of glass products for our fireplace and stove offerings. Your responsibilities will include:
- Installation: Install glass doors, panels, and other related products according to company standards and customer specifications.
- Measurements: Take precise measurements to ensure accurate fitting of glass components.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to explain installation processes and provide exceptional service.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Repair and Maintenance: Assess and repair existing glass installations, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure timely project completion.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory of glass products and related materials.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations and services performed.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in glass installation or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and heights.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; additional certifications related to glass installation are a plus.
