Position Summary:

The Campus Experience Coordinator at LACI is the first and main point of contact for all engagement on the LKIC campus. This position  works with multiple stakeholders in order to facilitate campus member onboarding for new tenants, relationship engagement with existing tenants and campus members. The position is also responsible for all campus tours, campus community events and admin associated with tenants and events. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with LACI staff and LADWP for management of  member services, amenities, and partner relations.   In addition, this role helps event and tour organizers conceive and plan routes & productions, while providing excellent customer service.

What You’ll Do:

  • Campus Member Recruitment & Experience: Serve as the main point of contact for potential Campus member inquiries. Ensure Campus marketing materials are accurate, up-to-date, and reflect the unique value proposition of campus membership. Provide tours and answer questions from Prospective Members and facilitate onboarding (and offboarding) of Campus Members. Facilitate Campus Member experience through the entire onboarding and offboarding process. Serve as the main point of contact and for Member complaints and issues, respond to Member communications within one business day, and facilitate and coordinate follow up support solutions.
  • Campus Community  - Programming and Events : Develop strong relationships with Campus Members, including regular check ins and occasional member surveys in order to sure high satisfaction. Implement Campus Events and programming to engage tenants and the broader cleantech ecosystem (i.e.: lunch and learns, chat ‘n chews, wellness events, etc.). Build community on Campus  through Campus events, communications, cultural observances, and other activities/offerings. Field event space rental inquiries, including: checking availability, coordinating vendors, invoicing customers, facilitating credit card payments, ensuring Campus policies are followed, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Campus Event Coordination and Execution : Serve as the main point of contact for Campus Member event booking, planning and coordination with on-site logistics. Offer an exceptional level of service to Campus Members and outside organizations as they plan and execute their events. Track Campus event space usage, metrics and revenues. Serve as a member of the Events Team and as an onsite, day-of coordinator events
  • Visitor and Tour Experience: Host tours for the general public, school groups, international groups, and LADWP stakeholders, explaining the history of LKIC, key features of the building, benefits of the co-working space and mission of LACI. Maintain a regular schedule of public Campus tours using an updated tour script. Train additional LACI staff members so they can also provide Campus tours. Track attendance to all tours via software tools and report on a monthly basis 
  • Administration & Reporting: Coordinate and publish the main La Kretz Innovation Campus Calendar of Events and Calendar of Tours. Capture and report on monthly, quarterly and yearly statistics (number of registrants, number of attendees, amount of revenue, etc.) for all events and tours. Keep contracts with Campus Members and APC Users up-to-date and send monthly invoices.

Requirements:

Basically, we want to know you can get the job done. This means you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, degree in related field or relevant years experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • 3 - 4 years of event coordination/marketing/sales/property experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including public speaking). 
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Results-oriented with an understanding of the necessary steps to achieve goals on deadline and within budget.
  • Technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office,  gSuite, Salesforce, and CRM systems such as Mailchimp

Work Requirements

  • Must work in Downtown LA Office five days a week
  • Ability to have an active role in events on campus, some events may require the ability to stand for long periods of time, set up/break-down, and other requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs

Position Details:

This is a full-time position , starting immediately. LACI operates out of the La Kretz Innovation Campus, in the bustling Downtown LA Arts District. Since we are rapidly growing, you will be getting in on the ground floor at LACI, with the opportunity to evolve with us and shape your future here. Some travel may be required.

Salary Range : Coordinator Range $54-64k commensurate with experience, education, skills, etc and total compensation package including health benefits, 401k match, professional development, commuter benefits and more.
