Title: Biostatistician

Duration: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Specialize in the application of statistics and/or computer technology to biological or public health studies applying the use of statistical software packages such as SAS, R, SPSS and others.
• Specializes in statistics, bio-statistics, mathematics; specialized tools and data resources relevant to the federal health mission including SAS, R, etc.
• Provide experience from a wide variety of application areas such as decision science, data mining, expert systems, public health science, and education.
• Provide expertise in the integration of a variety of heterogeneous public health information systems and databases; in the interaction of information security technology and the requirements for privacy and confidentiality of public health data; in new areas of interest to public health; with national and/or international standards development activities such as HL7 and in the application of advanced scientific visualization technology to public health science and practice.
• Specialize in the application of statistics and/or computer technology to biological or public health studies applying the use of statistical software packages such as SAS, SAS BI, R, MATLAB, GraphPad Prism, SPSS; and visualization tools such as Shiny, SAS Visual Analytics, Tableau, QlikSense.
• Oversees statistical programming, statistical programming changes, analysis of SAS code, and interaction of SAS code with SDTM datasets, clinical data, Adverse Event Data and MedDRA ASCII files.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS plus minimum five (5) years experience with large scale statistical analysis of complex multivariate data sets
• Working knowledge of MedDRA, medical terminology including SDTM standards, MedDRA coding.
• Working knowledge of CDISC SDTM standards and clinical trial data.
• Experience with SAS CDI, SAS BI and data mining is preferred but is not essential
