ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER

DESCRIPTION

As an Accounts Receivable Manager , you will supervise and drive the performance of the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all processes. In this role, you will lead and oversee the automation project for intelligent receivables, which encompasses critical areas like payment application and deduction processing. Your contributions will be key in shaping the transformation and ongoing support of the Cash Management function, positioning it for future success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain recurring cash management reports (e.g., DSO, aging), analyzing them to ensure accurate classification of customer receipts and coordinating with divisions and corporate finance.
• Monitor month-end close, project performance, and customer master data for improvements, accuracy, and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing training materials for Accounts Receivable products, lead client training sessions, and foster relationships with Sales and Operations Managers to resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies.
• Develop and enforce Departmental SOPs for invoicing and collections, ensure stakeholder awareness, and fulfill audit requests promptly.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual controls, certify Blackline tasks, and manage new customer setups.
• Maintain user documentation for system processes, perform AR balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with audits.
• Oversee invoicing and collections, manage weekly A/R performance reporting, and handle deductions and credit memos efficiently.
• Collaborate on customer deductions, approvals, and troubleshoot collections-related issues, including missing PODs and EDI errors.
• Track aging balances, recommend write-offs, conduct billing and payment studies, and produce management reports.
• Administer and analyze customer programs, maintain contract files, reconcile funds for audits, and establish consistent communication with Sales/Operations on contracts, deductions, and returns.
• Manage ad-hoc projects and provide reports as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5-7 years in Accounts Receivable role with at least 3 years managing a team.
• Demonstrable understanding of accounting concepts.
• Experience in working with, managing, and implementing cash management information systems.
• Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports
• Familiarity with advanced formulas in MS Excel
• Experience with SOX and SDLC requirements preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills as well as close attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, at all levels of responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to break down problems, investigate root causes and identify timely resolutions.
• Attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
